DAY 1: PARIS – LUXOR
- Departure from Paris on special flights to Luxor.
- Upon arrival, you will receive full assistance by our representatives from Affari Qui Travel.
- Representatives will take you on board of the cruise to install your bags and belongings in your cabins.
- Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 2: Luxor – Esna (About 50 km away)
- Breakfast on board.
- A visit to the Karnak Temple, the Great Temple of Amon Re, with its impressive hypostyle hall of 134 columns.
- The last visit will be to the Temple of Luxor that the Egyptians call “The Southern Harem of Amon”.
- Lunch on board.
- You’re free to wander the souks of Luxor in the afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight on board.
- Your sail to Esna will start in the evening.
DAY 3: Esna – Edfu – Kom Ombo (About 185 km away)
- Breakfast on board.
- Navigation to Edfu.
- Free time on the cruise.
- Lunch on board.
- At Edfu, a horse-drawn carriage will take you for a visit to the Temple of Horus, which is considered the second biggest temple in Egypt.
- Navigation to Kom Ombo.
- Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4: Kom Ombo – Aswan (About 45 km away)
- Breakfast on board.
- Visit Kom Ombo temple which is dedicated to the gods Haroeris and Sobek.
- Navigation to Aswan.
- Lunch on board.
- In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the high dam.
- A visit to the Philae Temple, dedicated to the cult of Isis and saved from the waters by Unesco.
- Sound and light at Philae Temple (Optional)
- Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 5: Aswan – Kom Ombo (About 45 km away)
- Breakfast on board.
- Opportunity to make the optional excursion to Abu Simbel to visit the two temples of Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. They were to be engulfed by the waters during the commissioning of the high dam on the Nile (Optional).
- Lunch on board.
- Felucca ride around Elephantine Islands and a visit to the Lord Kitchener Botanical Garden, in the afternoon.
- Navigation to Kom Ombo.
- Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 6: Kom Ombo – Luxor (About 216 km away)
- Breakfast on board.
- Full day sailing to Luxor.
- Free time on board.
- Lunch on board.
- Sound and light at the Karnak Temple (Optional)
- Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 7: LUXOR
- Breakfast on board.
- Crossing the Nile for a visit to the necropolis of Thebes (Valley of the Kings) where tombs are cut in the rock to be safe from the brigands.
- Visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut where rites were held to benefit him and stop the colossi of Memnon.
- Lunch on board.
- You’re free to wander the souks of Luxor in the afternoon
- Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 8: LUXOR – CAIRO
- Breakfast on board.
- Free morning.
- Lunch on board.
- Departure by train to Cairo, a city that suffered greatly during the three wars (1956 -1967 and the 1973 October war) that took place along the canal (length 173 Km, width 200 m and depth 20 m).
- Dinner and overnight on the train.
DAY 9: CAIRO
- Breakfast on the train.
- Arrival and installation at the hotel.
- Free day.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10: Cairo (About 45 km away)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit Memphis and Saqqara.
- Lunch near the pyramids. I
- In the afternoon, there will be a visit to the Giza Plateau where the three great pyramids of Kheops, Kephren and Mykerinos stand. At the Temple of the valley, you can see the Sphinx which is 70m long and 20m high.
- Sound and light at the Pyramids of Giza (Optional).
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11: Cairo (About 30 km away)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- A visit to the National Museum of Antiquities, founded by Auguste Mariette, in 1857. It occupies 250,000 pieces that cover the history of Ancient Egypt.
- Lunch in town.
- A visit to the Citadel of Saladin then the mosques of Mohamed Ali and Sultan Hassan
- A walk in the souks of Khan El Khalili.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12: Cairo – Suez – Hurghada (About 530 km away)
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Bus departure for Hurghada via Suez.
- Arrival and installation at the hotel.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAYS 13 & 14 : HURGHADA
- Free day at the hotel.
- Relaxation day by the Red Sea.
- Tour in Hurghada (Optional).
DAY 15 : HURGHADA – PARIS
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Depending on the flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport to take a plane from Hurghada to Paris.
NB:
- The order of visits may be modified due to local imperatives (sailing time, passage of the lock, difficult road traffic in Cairo, influx of tourists on sites …). The entire program will nevertheless be respected.
- The Hurghada / Cairo route (or vice versa) can be operated under military escort. As a safety measure, the Suez Canal stage can be canceled by convoy decision.
- Based on the time slots of the used airlines, it remains possible that the first or the last night and/or the day does not have entirely passed (s) to the hotel or on the boat
- During the closure of the Esna Lock (dates to reconfirm), the cruise will take place between Esna, Aswan, and Esna. Luxor tours will be by bus from Esna.
